Japanese is a Japonic language spoken by about 125 million people in Japan, with a writing system combining two syllabaries and Han characters, and a literary tradition stretching back over a thousand years. Simplified Chinese is the universal written form for mainland China's media, publishing, government, education, and the world's largest e-commerce and social media platforms.
